IBM Tivoli Asset Management for IT software product offers the following key features:

  • Aligning with the existing processes or products within an enterprise, e.g. data from other databases or applications can be automatically accessed and exchanged,
  • Evaluating the efficiency of asset management by setting up check points (KPI) as part of the asset management process,
  • ITIL compatibility,
  • Storage and monitoring of all IT asset-related contracts. Automatic alerts (mail, sms) regarding IT asset management incidents and problems, e.g. the equipment maintenance lease has expired,
  • Exceptional adaptability of user interface: it is possible to change the outlook of the application, add new fields (both in the user interface and in the database, no knowledge of database administration is necessary),
  • Working with a product exclusively through the Internet browser, does not require the installation of client programme on the system user’s computer,
  • Simple upgrade of basic modules with new modules, e.g. Service Desk. After an additional module is installed within a common user interface, new menus will appear which will automatically communicate with other modules,
  • The product uses proven IBM technology of relation database (IBM DB2) and application server (IBM WebSphere). The product consists of a set of applications which are modularly installed on the new or the existing application server in the company.
